NHS Blood and Transplant People First

PDP (Induction) & PDPR

The purpose of the annual Personal Development and Performance Review (PDPR) is to review your performance and behaviour, to highlight success and achievement and to agree objectives for the coming year.

A PDPR is a two way conversation about:

  • what you have achieved
  • what you have found challenging
  • your development and career path

Don't forget to report that it has been completed using the PDPR Reporting Tool.

It is also important to remember that you can talk to your manager at any time, you don’t have to wait until your PDPR.

If you can't find the information you are looking for you can contact HR Direct or you can Raise a query online.

PDP (Induction) Guidance

The PDP (Induction):

  • is an introduction to our organisational culture, values, and ways of working
  • is an opportunity for new employees to become familiar with how we operate
  • provides employees with a clear set of work and behavioural objectives
  • clarifies the legal requirements and technical knowledge of the role

The above also applies when an employee changes role

PDPR Reporting

Don't forget to report that it has been completed using the PDPR Reporting Tool. Shine Academy is updated on a weekly basis.
